House Lights Media (HLM) is an emerging distribution company that specializes in the beauty and creativity of independent film. Drawing on over 20 years of distribution experience, HLM officially launched in March 2011 with their first acquisition, the exquisitely nuanced dark comedy from Britain, “The Drummond Will.” Since then, they continue to add projects to their portfolio and introduce many of their acquisitions to theatrical, home entertainment and VOD audiences with continued success.
In May of 2012, HLM launched their faith and family division, Faith’s Light Media, as they solicit their ground breaking educational teen drama title, “Hidden Rage,” a film which focuses on the prevalent issue of bullying, teen depression and school violence to the home entertainment audience. Many of HLM’s projects have taken the festival world by storm with wins in “Best Feature,” “Best Director,” “Audience Award,” and “Juried Prize,” to name but a few.
HLM’s mission is to continue to pursue and acquire quality independent films to add to their portfolio and introduce talented and innovative filmmakers to North America.
Steve has been a leader in developing distribution channels for one of the largest studios in the industry, Paramount Pictures, Inc. As the V.P. of National Sales for Home Video, Steve managed a sales team whose responsibilities moved over $750 million of product annually. He has leveraged these relationships and industry knowledge to provide a unique set of skills that combines personalized service with strategic business decisions and relationship building to provide a wealth of experience in managing the distribution channel and selling the project.
Sandy began her industry career at Paramount and then moved into the world of cable and new media forging an executive background in marketing and management to support the creative direction necessary to give House Lights Media filmmakers the attention and innovation that they require. She has developed relationships throughout her career with some of the best in the business including those at Paramount, Comedy Central, Disney, Martha Stewart’s Omnimedia, Cox, Time Warner and Comcast to name but a few.
